Via the 18th century, universities published their own individual research journals and through the nineteenth century, the German and the French university styles had arisen. The German, or Humboldtian product, was conceived by Wilhelm von Humboldt and determined by Friedrich Schleiermacher's liberal Suggestions pertaining to the necessity of libe
